DESCRIPTION:Pleasejoin us for the Classified Employee Silent Auction on Tuesday\, December 2ndfrom 9-1 at the North Dining Hall in the Student Center. (Snow Date – December3rd). Every year the proceeds of this auction provide scholarships to UMFClassified Employees children\, grandchildren\, and/or spouses who are pursuing apost-secondary education. Last Spring we awarded 5 – $600 Scholarships! Thisyear we will be trying some new things. We will have our 50/50 raffle\, a bakesale\, a soup/chili lunch for $5.00\, and our usual bidding for all types ofgifts.\nPlease consider donating baked goods\, gift certificates\, gift baskets\, homemadeitems\, gifts for children and all family members. Gently used items in newcondition are also appreciated.  All theproceeds from the auction go directly into the scholarship fund. DESCRIPTION:The Western Maine Community Chorus (WMCC) invites you to celebrate the season with Christmas in Vienna\, a festive concert of classical and traditional holiday music. The first half of the program will feature Joseph Haydn’s St. Nicholas Mass\, a charming setting of the Mass text that is now sung traditionally on Christmas Eve throughout Austria. The second half will feature several beloved German carols such as “Lo\, How a Rose E’re Blooming” and “Still\, Still\, Still.” It will end with an audience sing-along of traditional carols\, ending with Silent Night.\nThe chorus is directed by Dr. Paul McGovern\, who brings over 30 years of choral conducting and teaching experience. “This program brings together the warmth and beauty of Austrian Christmas traditions\,” said McGovern. “It’s a joy to share such timeless music with our community and to celebrate the holiday season through song.”\nAdmission is at the door\, with a suggested donation of $20 per person (students free)—but everyone is welcome\, regardless of amount.
