SUMMARY:Play - The Thanksgiving Play
DESCRIPTION:The Thanksgiving Play is a satirical comedy centering around a group of four well-meaning but culturally insensitive white theater artists who attempt to create a politically correct elementary school play about the first Thanksgiving while struggling with their own biases and the lack of Native representation. The Thanksgiving Play premiered on Broadway in 2023 at the Hayes Theater. The UMF production of The Thanksgiving Play is directed by UMF Assoc. Professor of Visual and Performing Arts Melissa Thompson. The play has graphic images and is not meant for children.  \nLocation: UMF’s Alumni Theater.
