Biography
Dr. Liz Potter-Nelson (she/her) teaches courses on curriculum, instruction, assessment, and science methods. In addition to teaching, Potter-Nelson conducts research in sustainability education with a focus on how educators, at all levels, holistically incorporate sustainability and climate change into their courses through the content they teach, and the pedagogies they use. Prior to joining the faculty at UMF, Potter-Nelson was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Environmental Solutions Initiative at MIT. She also has over 15 years of experience in public schools as a high school science teacher and administrator.
