Clara Jean Howard

Clara Jean Howard instructs for the Education Division and Graduate Certificate in ESOL at the University of Maine at Farmington. After teaching for 20 years in K-12 multilingual settings both in Maine and abroad in India and Japan, she completed her doctorate in which she focused on critical instruction for multilingual learners from the perspectives of students themselves. Outside of work she returns home to Prince Edward Island where she and her husband have been renovating a 150-year-old church.
